This Privacy Policy is publicly available at https://traceg.com/legal/privacy-policy, including from links in the App Store listing and within the Apps, as required for distribution on the Apple App Store.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to information we collect:

• Through the Apps on iPhone and Apple Watch
• Through the Site at https://traceg.com
• When you contact us (email, waitlist, support, or demo requests)
• From Apple platforms where you grant permission (for example, motion and fitness sensors, Health-related permissions if you enable them)

It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or apps that we do not control, including Apple’s own services (App Store, Apple ID, iCloud), which are governed by their own privacy policies.

3. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to provide and improve the Services. Categories may include:

A. Information you provide

• Contact details (name, email address) when you join a waitlist, request support, or contact us
• Optional profile or preference information (for example, shooting discipline, app of interest, free-text notes)
• Communications you send to us (support requests, feedback)

B. Training, sensor, and performance data (Apps)

• Session data you create in the Apps (session history, timestamps, scores, splits, stage timing, stability metrics, traces, and related training summaries)
• Device motion and related sensor data from Apple Watch / iPhone when you use features that require it (for example, stability measurement in Wrist, recoil / shot detection in Recoil)
• Heart rate or other Health / fitness-related readings when a feature requires them and you have granted the relevant system permission (for example, coaching cues in Steady)
• Haptic and coaching preferences you configure in the Apps

Much of this data is processed on-device so sessions can work offline at the range. Where we sync or store data, we do so as described in this Policy.

C. Device and technical information

• Device type, OS version, app version, language, and time-zone settings
• Diagnostic and crash information (if you enable or Apple shares crash logs with developers)
• Approximate network information necessary to deliver online features (for example, when syncing or contacting support)

D. Website and analytics (Site)

• Standard log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URL, timestamps) when you use https://traceg.com
• Cookies or similar technologies if used for essential site function, preferences, or aggregated analytics — you can control cookies via your browser settings

E. Purchases

• If you buy an app, subscription, or in-app purchase through the Apple App Store, payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details. We may receive limited purchase status (for example, product identifier, transaction state, subscription status) needed to unlock features.

We do not collect precise location for tracking, contact lists, photos/media library, or microphone audio unless a specific future feature requests permission and discloses that use at the time of request.

4. Health & Sensor Data (Apple Platforms)

Some Apps may access motion, heart rate, or other HealthKit-related data only with your explicit permission through iOS / watchOS system prompts. We use that data solely to provide the feature you requested (for example, coaching feedback, stability scoring, or session review).

• Health and fitness data is not used for advertising or sold to data brokers
• We do not use HealthKit data for marketing or to build advertising profiles
• You can revoke permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security (or the relevant Health / Motion settings)
• If you revoke access, related features may stop working until permission is restored

Not medical advice. TraceGuidance is a training and performance tool for shooting sports. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Do not rely on the Apps as a substitute for professional medical advice.

5. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Apps and Site
• Enable offline and online session recording, review, and export features you choose to use
• Process waitlist sign-ups, support requests, and product communications you request
• Authenticate purchases / entitlements delivered through Apple
• Diagnose bugs, monitor performance, and keep the Services secure
• Comply with law, enforce our Terms, and protect rights, safety, and property
• Send service-related notices (for example, material changes to this Policy or Terms)

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own cross-app tracking or advertising without your consent where required by law or Apple policy.

6. Legal Bases (Where Applicable)

If you are in a region that requires a legal basis for processing (for example, the EEA/UK), we process personal data based on: (a) performance of a contract with you; (b) your consent (including platform permissions); (c) our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services in ways that do not override your rights; and/or (d) compliance with legal obligations.

7. How We Share Information

We may share information only as follows:

• Service providers who process data on our behalf (for example, hosting, email delivery, crash analytics), under contractual obligations to protect it and use it only for our instructions
• Apple, as needed for App Store distribution, purchase validation, and platform services you use
• Legal and safety disclosures if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or integrity of the Services or users
• Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality
• With your direction when you export or share data yourself

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly defined under U.S. state privacy laws.

8. Data Storage, Security & Retention

Session and training data may be stored on your device and, when online features or backups are enabled, on systems we control or that our processors operate for us. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal requirements. You may request deletion as described below. Device-local data can typically be removed by deleting the App or clearing app data on your device.

9. Your Choices & Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete personal information
• Export or receive a copy of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
• Opt out of marketing emails (service/transactional messages may still be sent)

To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your request. You may also control many data categories through device permissions and by deleting the Apps.

If you are in the EEA/UK and believe we have infringed data protection law, you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact [email protected] and we will take steps to delete it. Parents or guardians who believe their child has used the Services without consent should contact us promptly.

11. International Transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than your country of residence. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

12. Third-Party Links & Apple Services

The Site or Apps may link to third-party sites or rely on Apple services (App Store, Apple ID, iCloud, Health, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Review their policies before providing information to them.

13. App Tracking Transparency & Advertising

We do not use your personal data for third-party advertising networks or cross-app tracking. If that ever changes, we will update this Policy and request any required permissions (for example, App Tracking Transparency) before tracking that requires consent under Apple rules or applicable law.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at https://traceg.com/legal/privacy-policy and revise the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated in-app or by email where appropriate. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy, except where consent is required by law.
